I've been working it piece by piece (like a puzzle), and this is just a snippet of a much larger whole. As usual, the medium is wax pencil on paper.

In Progress..
I thought I would take a little break from the shows and post up some in progress work. I've been working on this one for a few weeks now, but it's been off and on due to medical emergencies, upcoming shows, and everything else.

Can't wait to see more. Really just love your value and tone work. Very nice.
nice shot. how long does a pencil drawn piece usually take?
Jason > Thanks! I'm hard at work on it.. finished up a bunch more sections since posting this. I'd say I'm about 1/2 finished (which is really 1/4, 'cause there's a second image below it).
Arnie > 5x7 inches I can knock out in about a week. This is larger though. There's two 9x12 inch images that make up this piece, so it'll probably take me another month.
(A month is about average for anything hovering around 12x16 inches)
